The Passion of Love

This Passion Of Love

Setting on the balcony of this hotel room
Watching the squirrels as they run
Releasing, for us, all this tension and gloom
Laughing while these lovers have fun

The river flows beneath us with
constant stream
Noisily the squirrels race up and
down the tree
Caught up in this marvel as if in a dream
While all the cares of this world seem to flee

Happiness embraces us as we’ve come
to get away
The sun is resting as the birds sing us a song
And our hearts beat, as one, rejoicing in
this day
Cherishing our love, we have waited way too long

The smile, the sparkle as I look into her eyes
Sets the stage for the fulfillment of
love’s desire
Magnifying the night as if fireworks
 in the skies
While the passion of our love becomes a burning fire
