The Party Never Ends
After the party ends
the guests leave one by one,
the psychedelic light dissolves,
supine static air loses the cadence.
What takes their place…
the stillness of darkness disowned,
the silence of air forsaken,
waiting for long outside obscure.
Then the darkness melts,
a stream of umbra flows within,
cascading in the vale of blankness…
you swim in its captivating rhythm.
Then the rippling air glides,
dancing in the abyss within,
holds your hands abandoned…
you merge with the music of silence.
You see the return of the guests,
chiseled now from blocks of darkness,
coming to life before your eyes…
sing the song of somber quietude.
The frames configured from dark void
assemble to fill your lone emptiness.
When they dance to your music
the party never ends.
