The Party Is Over

Our love was brand new
Our hearts were afire.
As I explored the essence of you,
It was your spirit I came to admire.

Many plans were made,
For our lives to share.
When did the attraction fade?
Why couldn’t I be there?

I know it was me,
Who destroyed our lives.
If I wasn’t so extremely selfish,
This, I would have realized.

Now that our lives must part,
There will be no four-leaf clover,
I know it was my actions that doomed us,
Now that the party is over.

Steve! Steve, what did you do, to the wonderful love.. Is there a way you could get back, because starting over is so hard.. Anyway, just having fun.. Life is full of lessons and we are supposed to learn from them.. These lessons, should make us better and for the next person.. I think..Anyway, simple poem but with warnings.. Thanks, for the poem...
