The Park Bench At Christmas
I’m the park bench, and I’m a witness of varied personalities
at Christmas time:
Among those I behold with glee are the beautiful ladies,
endowed by God with well-being’s goodness;
Bearing His image graciously, they declare the Gospel unashamedly,
especially the good tidings of peace, brought by the Saviour's birth.
Pleasantly charming with Bible-propped faith, testifying of their saved, secured souls, they exude grand virtuous elegance, dressed in their apparel of modesty.
With loving hearts so ready to reach out, as filled by the Lord’s compassion…
…They do share with joy and give cheerfully, enabled by the Holy Spirit’s might.
I thank God for their lives offered to God, exemplifying Christian traits:
Respected and acknowledged role models, they're admired, and wooed with prayer by suitors as they trust the Supreme Master.
Indeed, they do well while they strive to show this Scripture’s essence:
“Favour is deceitful, …beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD,
she shall be praised” Proverbs 31:30.
