The Park
I sat in a garden so lovely and green, hid in a maze so I could not be seen,
with grass green and lush and mowed to perfection,
so delightful the roses- so fine a collection.
I sat in a garden so pretty and neat, sat there for ages just glued to my seat,
so fragrant the scent that wafted about,
I was tempted to dangle my feet with the trout.
I sat in a garden and looked all around, with only the wildlife making a sound,
green trees and bushes stood tall and proud,
it was so peaceful away from the crowd.
I just sat in that garden enjoying the peace, surrounded by nature and feeling at ease,
to live in the country such a wonderful treat,
I think as I sit there with grass at my feet.
