The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

Peter asked Jesus,

how many times that he should

forgive those who sinned against

him, should it be for

seven times? Jesus answered,

seventy seven times be.


*As scriptured.
A master whose servant squandered 10,000 talents (A million dollars at current value) of his money but forgave him of that debt and sent him on his way, but the servant who squandered 100 dinars (16 cents at current value) did not forgive him and was imprisoned. It is not the measure of sin but the measure of forgiveness that this parable is told to Peter.
