The Palms of Our Hands

I hold your hand in our walk, it is soft
Like rose pedals, with comforting beauty
Treasured words of love from your lips
   --- Meaningful, bound by trust ---
You always respected my inner strength
You always honored me in what we share
I returned it all to you in sweet unison 
        --- We ride the same waves ---
       --- We walk the same paths ---
All the while, accepting any differences
You will forever be the harmony in my heart
As long as my heart is beating, you are here
Validating everything that I know I can be
I will hold your hand through everything
               --- As gently as I can ---
Some sights are only captured once in a moment
My moment was captured by your authentic love
               --- Reaching out to me ---
A dynamic team, with all we truly believe in
As we reached out to others as best we can
All the moments, years of time bound by love
  --- Mapped out like the palms of our hands ---
