The Painted Fish

The painted fish
the swallow tail
A kite's delight
to swoop and sail

The ornate hand
the Indian ink
A line of letters
to make you think

A flowing ribbon
upon your wall
which blows at the slightest
windflow's call

A tune which hums
inside your head
from the moment you wake
'till you go back to bed

A moment you remember
to never forget
and shadows which
old scary movies beget

The love of your life
'round the ring on your hand
And falling so hard
you hurt when you land

It's my passionate side
which compels you to breathe
and takes your exhale
when I kiss you and leave.

The painted fish dreams
in the ocean below
and my moment I hold
is this love that I know.
