The Pain Inside

My heart feels like a ball of barbed wire
My insides feel like they are on fire
The wrenching sobs escaped my throat
My tears are running, I can't stay afloat
The feeling of dread every time I breathe
Hoping and wishing that I never have to leave
Hold me close, let’s block out the tears
When I am in your arms, I have no fears
Even though we're young I know this much
All troubles melt away just from your touch
