The Pain
I feel the hurt that’s in his eyes
I understand the pain
A part of me withers and dies
Every time he goes away
I wish that I could find a way
To the part of him that’s lost
But his mind it just continues to stray
No matter what the cost
I am very much in love with him
Loyal and faithful I remain
Even though the future looks so dim
I have hope despite the rain
My hope for him is that one day
He gets what’s in his heart
Maybe even come home to stay
And never again would we part
