The exterior.
Why is it so special?
It is what all can see,
For most, it is all that is considered.
For if it is not the best,
they no longer investigate.
For a rare few,
those of us who wait,
and have the ability
to see what lies beneath.
That is the true measure
of one's character.
Because it is not
the brilliant and shiny
shrouding the gift
that does matter.
It's what lies inside
that does count.
