The Other Side of Hell

My heart no longer beats the same
It echoes in the night
Silent teardrops fall like rain
My soul, afraid of the light

Like a thief in the night you stole my dreams
You even stole my smile
Leaving me with these silent screams
You walk away in denial

Promises made, now fade away
Left to become a lie
I pray for death to come my way
But he will not let me die

The flowers have no color now
They're simply black and white
I must escape this pain somehow
To discern what's wrong or right

I freely gave my heart to you
And you leave an empty shell
I'll keep on walking till I get through
The other side of hell
