The Other Side
I watch the shadows between the dark
and the light
I watch to see if something is there, at
the edge of the night
I hear echoes of voices, so clear
as to say
Be careful young Master, beware how
you play
With breath held close, not a moment
of fear
One step, then another, out into
the clear
The shadows veil lifted, a shimmering
light abounds
The echo of voices, louder, resonating
the sounds
We welcome the willing, we welcome
the strong
This is your place, your time,
you belong
