The Other Day

Just the other day
I heard the birds chirp a familiar tune
Just the other day
I saw my thoughts blow up like a balloon
Just the other day
I saw what I had not seen
Yet just the other day
I fought for all those things
Just the other day
Reality became too real
That just the other day
I could not touch or feel
So just the other day
I thought about all those days and other days to come
Only to realize what day it truly was
Patiently waiting for yet another one
