Dear Constance, Your stories always touch my heart and soul, amazing how you’ve told us your experience through few syllables, in such a soul hitting manner. I am sorry you had to go through that, sixteen is a fragile age, where so many thoughts can stir darkness especially when we feel unseen and unheard! Your strength and your story inspires me. I know i was a very dark teenager, i always wanted to run away. So i felt this deeply! Thank you for sharing. Congratulations on winning

Ink, thank you so much for the contest. I am happy that I was able to use the form to create something worthy. It was a rough time, and I would like to say it was the only time but it was not .. like you I always wanted to run away. And the hope is that no one nefarious finds them. I never “ran away,” but got mad and walked down a very dark country road. Finally turned around. They were “mad at me,” but nobody came for me. Life is hard, sometimes!

Kim, thank you so much for the comment, appreciate. I ran because I thought that I was unloved but it turned out that I was very much loved and everyone was searching for me and I was found ... but not before I got a taste of street life.
