The Only Friend I Need

In my disbelief
I did not stand alone
She stood by my side
As my heartbreak painted the walls
She accepted my anger as if it were her own
And listened in silence as I cursed the heavens above
She did not shed a tear
Or answer in rebuke
When I begged for this to end
Without the blame being my own
Perhaps she is an angel in disguise
Sent to help me understand this life
And be a voice of reason
When I become blind
