The Ones that Died at the Wall pt 3
Jorge's season's going well the best of his young life
His fielding has been yielding what he dreams will make his life
A life that's filled with luxury, fine cars, a pretty wife
He's lining up to sign the line where they'll be set for life
Everybody's love, is riding on that ball
That's sure to make them happy, somewhere beyond the wall
Beyond the wall
Beyond the wall
The seed in the fable's reaching seats beyond the wall
A seat at the table's waiting just beyond the wall
Estrella's blending in among the ones there headed north
She's dressed down even more than what she normally has worn
Blending is the key to what she hopes will be the ride
That places ev'rybody safe beyond the other side
Arranging for the girls to visit friends she joins the throng
Divided into groups of thirty they will move along
Along a well-known route that moves through valleys like a song
Bouncing there from wall to wall so right will come from wrong
As they near the border, excitement starts to grow
They're starting to lose order because everybody knows
Paradise is waiting over just beyond that wall
It's a home run that will make all they have been through worth it all
What they will be giving up for now is looking small
Compared to what they'll gain when they get just beyond the wall
The plan is simple as the truck heads down the ending road
He barely slows while turning never stopping to unload
The doors fly open as the cargo inside just explodes
It's a flight there for survival through a gap there in the wall
In the tangle of the crush that tumbles out the door
Estrella falls under the wheels that rumble 'neath the floor
It takes some time before the word is heard there in the field
Jose first then down to Jorge playing by the wall
But Omar heard it first, he's the one who got the call
Coyotes cries are heard for miles, they echo off the walls
Of the canyons we've created… there beyond the wall
Jorge's numbers hit the dirt, he never got the call
He just can't move beyond the one that died there at the wall
Jose's living back down south, he stares there at the wall
He'll never move beyond the one… that died there at the wall
Beyond the wall
Beyond the wall
The seed in the fable's reaching seats beyond the wall
A seat at the table's waiting just beyond the wall
Yes a seat at the table's waiting just beyond the wall
