The One Who Loves Me Still
The one who loves me still...
You voice, like the sound of the river,
Caressing my ears, stopping my heart,
Your fingers slowly brushing through my hair,
As we stared at the mottled sunlight,
Through the canopy of the trees.
If I knew then what U know today,
That your smiles were numbered, my tears not,
If I knew that you were not forever,
I would have held you in my arms,
As you slowly faded away...
Today, I sat by that river,
My sorrow feeding its life,
He said to me-that mighty river
Live for him that could not,
Laugh for him that will no more,
Love for him that loved you,
And forget for him that loves you still...
