The One That Got Away

I want to be what makes you happy I want to save you from the dark I wouldn't hesitate to take away all your pain yet sadly You haven't let me steal your heart. Even if the whole world turned its back I'd still try Even if you didn't love me back I'd still try Even if your heart turn cold I'd still try Because even in your darkest hours I see warmth I see strength I see sorrow I see your struggles and your pain I see your honest intentions I see through the walls you build up I can walk right through them. I don't see the mask you paint on I don't see the character you pretend to play I see past the insecurities I see what's real. I see you. Your eyes might be sad But your heart's always been true.
