The One That Got Away

One picture has brought a
million old buried feels back to
life. Wow, the time hasn't been
my friend. Your always on my
mind! I'm sad for our lack of
time together you were my
forever and always, the one I
named baby. I miss you under
my arm. I wish I had the
courage to just call or text. My
phone somehow lost your
contact over these miserable
three years. What am I
suppose to do? I would give
anything to hold you close. I
miss your love, I'll forever be
yours, but I'm just not that
person for you. There's a long
cold road ahead of me

Poignant write Richard! You've brought out the theme very well. I like the wisdom in the poem - that sometimes the one is not the one and it's best to separate. Well penned.
