The One That Got Away

You ain’t my first love
You’re the one that got away
A broken heart where regret starts, every single day

We both know the truth
Our souls are meant to be
I’d give my life just to the lay you down
And breathe the breath you breathe

It ain’t enough to hear your voice
Every now and then
I’ve waited here all these years
And I’m wonderin’
Will we get to see....reality.....
Truth be told we’re more than friends we’re destiny

We’ve both known love
But we both want
What lies right here in these stretched out arms right before us

We keep holding on
Just trying to get a long
While our minds are busy thinking bout
Every thought that turns us on

It ain’t enough to hear your voice
Every now and then
I’ve waited here all these years
And I’m wonderin’
Will we get to see....reality.....
Truth be told we’re more than friends we’re destiny

Before us lies the answer
To what haunts us every day
It’s a shame to live with regret
Of the one that got away

It ain’t enough to hear your voice
Every now and then
I’ve waited here all these years
And I’m wonderin’
Will we get to see....reality.....
Truth be told we’re more than friends we’re destiny

Love on me
Let me love on you
May my final kiss come from your lips
When my days are finally thru....
