The Old Swinging Bridge

There is an old swinging bridge that brings back memories galore...
And I took my first walk on that old bridge when I was only four.

The world has changed a lot since I played on that old bridge...
It was always a short-cut to pick fruit on Mr. Turner's ridge.

Life was simple then and we always played and had fun galore...
And I took my first walk on that old swinging bridge when I was only four.

The current was always swift and the water was always cold...
And to jump off the bridge into the water you had to be bold.

The old bridge brings back memories of things that used to be...
But more importantly the fun that was had by you and me.
