The Old One
The Old One
The old one reached down
into the cellar of his remembrance
and found a faded image
of a paramour;
a love known so long ago.
He cherished
its lustrous glow,
and in his heart's forge
shaped a silver frame
to hold the beauty
untarnished by time.
