The Old Goat
A retired cop in Oak Valley
Had an cantankerous old goat
Given a chance he'd knock you down
At least that was a common quote
When we saw some goats at the fence
We'd pet their soft fur every day
Until the old goat hit the fence
Then quite quickly we'd run away
Then one day we missed the old goat
Uncle Ben told us that it was dead
He said it knocked the old cop down
Then the cop shot it in the head!
Now that I'm an old goat myself
This is the lesson I've learned
Whenever two old goats butt heads
One of them is going to get burned!
