The Oil Spill
My shores was once filled with life
Where people made memories
that were cherished along the beaches
Has passed too soon
Sun baked bodes
No longer scattered in the sand
Handmade castles covered with black tar
Sullied by the big spill, never to be rebuilt
Surfers once sailed her waves
Beach goers once stung by jellyfish has stay home
Screamers’ rushing from the waters has been silenced
Sun-burned bodies no longer seek sun block
The memories of the beaches past will forever
Be etched in the hearts of sad faces who watched gushing oil spill
