The Odyssey of We Are Centre

"The Odyssey of We are Centre"
Where does he come through with his fishing lines? Casting off metaphors worms of vitriol hooked and dipped, he’s so green backed rolling in grandiose self published flack unhip and seasoned with his tart rye swallowed for kicks pulling deep wisdom from his shallow back pocket where he keeps his pride of place safe, pulls it forth with a flourish, the most current colourful topic, how ironic, "The Odyssey of We are Centre", his certified credential from the wallet of his all knowing mind all seeing eyes sarcastic smile, blinking, I’m a king pin he scrolls all his myopic blinds, fingers touching lines on the blue screen, pointing at this one and that one, he’s the town crier, then when all is put to bed, he’s commuting slowly on his own shadow ride into light bareback, twirling his lasso, the Mole waves and smiles; The astute reader laughs and wonders all the while, watching him as his Odyssey is drawn into his "Centre of We Are" anti-clockwise, vacuum sucked and sealed for sanitation and how thoughtful, for the safety purposes of others, mind you enough holes allowed to sprinkle all his other sunny devotions, sisters and brothers, the devotees drinking holy spirits spare the contaminated water, he accepts tithes in all his dry open boxes counting "here-here!" from sunny daffodils who thrive on planting sweet smelling roses while tramping on shadows with their golden shovels and throwing sweet n sour candy coated javelin spears to crack jokes at other's metaphorical long and short stemmed posies, for some light, while they ride unicorns and skip double dutch with rainbows, He touts he’s Moses with his paperback independent unprofitable online gropers, Parting waters and cheeks... chocolate starfish for smiling; She winks, He bellows, “What fresh hell is this?” Just like all the others he’s a moth he smiles at his own reflection in his words while uploading, he doesn't want to get too close he’s looking for the Light - he’s transforming slowly (LadyLabyrinth/2020)

''Wolves which batten upon lambs, lambs consumed by wolves, the strong who immolate the weak, the weak victims of the strong: there you have Nature, there you have her intentions, there you have her scheme: a perpetual action and reaction, a host of vices, a host of virtues, in one word, a perfect equilibrium resulting from the equality of good and evil on earth.''

For his sins, he wrote perfect literature that summed up the traits of dark imperfection in humanity.

We are all on our own journey Arturo. Every one works things out in their own time and way. The cyberbullying needs to cease. Healthy debate is good, when one is asking for answers to relevant questions, and proactive positive criticism is forthcoming; however, the tearing down or assassination of someone's character, is not "Light" it's dark and can lead to serious consequences and deadly results, for those who are vulnerable and sensitive. Goodluck with the cigs btw, it's hard, but it's achievable. Thanks for your kind comment. L x

One has to surmise, that if man was made in the image of God, and 'the number of the beast is the number of a man', then we all have both God and beast in our veins and there is the conundrum of imperfection. Your thoughts?

I wonder if this world would be a better place without the internet. It has it's dark and light dimensions; as time moves forward, it seems the darkness of the web, sucks more and more souls inwards, it distorts reality, truth. True movement stops, we are all harnassed, dangling, waiting for the drop. It has the capacity to transport such wealth of knowledge and assist humanity, but we are all enslaved and trapped by the addictions it presents. It may be our destruction. Reading your "Whips of History" saga, brilliantly thought through and written, might I add, and your comment to another poet, "...you may command a person's station in life, even own their body, yet that does not mean you own their courage and soul...". I read somewhere www could equate to 666. It is indeed a sticky web, it traps souls. Your thoughts?

a very strong write poet, with a lot of truth...I try to understand those that allow themselves to be bullied and wish I had found an answer. To me, bullies are like the dog barking in the neighborhood all night, I pay them no mind and refuse to allow a bully's critique to affect me, why would someone be bothered by a voice they would never ask advice from...but as usual I find myself on an island where all the different people are kept...powerful poem...poet

Thanks my good friend. It astounds me the amount of cyberbulling that occurs online. These people are just as damaged as their targets, and the pain they are administering to their targeted victims. They need to be stopped in their tracks and their psychological make up explored further by medical professionals and assisted by therapy, medication. If Law is the only way to do that, this must occur. Particularly when self-harm to victims and suicide ensues. Thanks for the comment, but I am not here to win POTD or garner accolades for this poem. I would like it to hammer home a point that the town criers, trolls and cyberbullying (overt and camouflaged), needs to be policed and it needs to be stopped dead in its tracks. Leanne

I loathe the bully L, remarkable use of metaphor...it's easy for one to spout off behind a screen...I wish all could read this.. xx

Some have too big of an ego and no humility and thrive on putting down others in order to make themselves feel better. Just my humble opinion.

I think you'll find most writers and poets 'spout' off behind a screen. No writer/poet is without ego. This poem, is for the trolls, town cryers, cyberbullies who delight in their roles as recidivists, basking in their own glorified muck-raking, much to the detriment of others, which can lead to a plethora of mental health conditions for the recipients of such bullying, with the most serious, being suicide. No doubt, many of the cyber bullies and their cohort of screaming monkeys have their own mental health issues.

There are stringent laws in place for cyber bullying. I would push those laws to the full limit, if I was on the receiving end, or I would most definitely assist anyone experiencing cyberbullying - to see that law be fully enforced/occur. You will find when it comes to trolls, cyberbullies and their screaming monkeys, they are mostly spineless individuals, with no sense of their own self-worth or self-esteem.When it comes to writing blogs and online writing/poetry sites, 'constructive' positive criticism is required, and healthy debate, ie. debate requiring facts through answers - not eviscerating someone's personal character to their detriment, whether that be direct negative commentary towards the victim of that commentary, or camouflaged harmful commentary.
