The Ocean Calls

The dreams were as vivid as,
The winter snow and the summer moon.
I could see the light of a full moon,
As the fog rolls in.
Walking on the beach I notice,
The waves and the ocean talking to me,
In ways only I can understand.
It tells of a woman who walks the beach,
Searching looking hoping,
For that one person who is lost,
Yet never found.
Looking out to the ocean,
She prays to Poseidon and the mermaids,
To look for her heart her love,
To come home to be safe.
The night air is chilled,
Sadly it's time to go home.
She turns and walks away,
Knowing she will be back tomorrow.

Yes she always returns to the beach. Always looking, hoping and pleading. We always do that. Hope all Is good with you. Someone on Twitter put out a suggestion to everyone to write a poem about a Gothic haunted creepy old house and so that is the next poem I am going to post and I need you to tell me what you think of it. Hehe!! Take care my friend. Shirley.
