Notes About The Poem

bink

Listen to poem:

The Occultation Conspiracy

We blink to hide a shooting star.
The world moves on before we are.
The eyelids clap their fleeting flight.
Eclipse the night, then break the light.

Before the tongue begins to speak.
The eyelids flicker for signs they seek.
A moment's dark to dwell to approve.
What doubt found out in deeper groove.

A wink is more than half a glance.
It asks the truth itself to a dance.
One eye says "yes," one eye says "wait"!
Between two eyes, we celebrate.

Blink...to let the world slip by.
Think...to flap a hidden why.
Wink....to send a truth sky high.
Smile...to watch bright eyes reply.
