The Nun

I shall hide my curls under a scarf,

And I shall go to a monastery along dark road.

I shall forget secular hobbies,

I shall throw out all my poems,

And I shall live as a modest nun

distant from the big world.

At night, the stars will freeze in a dark-blue silence.

But one day, suddenly,

the overdue traveller will knock on my door.

My old friend, who is courageous and lonely

will appear there indeed.

And that night, surely,

I shall shall throw out the sad, black scarf.

Both of us shall forget all our troubles and quarrels.

Not!

Probably, I never shall be the nun,

especially in April!
