The Nudist
When I was
a child
I had a tree
in my back yard
and in this tree
I’d hide
and one day
I found peace and
serenity
a few years
back
a logging company
cut down my
tree
and a supermarket
bought the land
and knocked down
the house
I grew up in
and the most beautiful
thing is
on my clothing
I write
and I feel more hidden
than I ever have
before
although the world
is watching me
run naked through
the streets
in search
of the answer
