The Night's Assessment

the night’s assessment

if she could only see
the choice and influence that
defined her life, she’d see
why she hasn’t been all
she could be. most protect
objects, subjects and people
they love but to love objects,
subjects and people that are
baggage of a lifestyle and
mentality, protection for a
trend involving a confused life
can blind those in need of
what the mother has chosen
not to give. it used
to anger me, hurt me,
disgust me. after so much
time, it has been made
clear that it is her
addiction. lost when she isn’t
around it, wet when she
licks her lips at the
sight of them and the
loss of who she could
have been through freedom, by
choice. it’s enough to depress
the depressed.
