The Nightingale

fly my little nightingale and take this song i give to the land where genies and magic carpets live hide yourself very well and you will not be seen but before the dawn becomes the day proclaim my love with screems fly my little nightingale into her ear, into her heart tell her i am always near and will never ever depart hide yourself within her dreams and own from dusk till dawn but when she leaves begin your screams your mourning while she's gone

Nice how you weave a bird, a song and love into one lovely verse. Last verse is so dear.

Lovely verse, would like to see a nightingale; so many poets write about them. P S Thanks for your nice visit and no, I don't think I'm neurotic, just a poem :)
