The Night You Died

I still remember that night It was 40 degrees but it felt ice cold I was standing at the door Two policemen telling me that you were gone Telling me there had been an accident My mind wouldn’t work, I couldn’t comprehend it You were my love, you couldn’t be gone I was alive, you were dead, That was all that was running through my mind Tears in my eyes, my heart heavy, I sat down and cried Why I asked, why you But even though you’re gone I still love you
