The Night You Bid Me Goodbye

That time we met in our usual park
Holding hands in a night dark
Tears adorning your beautiful eyes
Do you remember the night you bid me goodbye

Sitting on a bench holding each other tight
Scared of letting go, and sad about our plight
Life had bared its realities to us without a hint of lie
Do you remember the night you bid me goodbye

Just looking at each other, no words spoken
Tears did the talking for our hearts broken
More than love was needed for us to get by
Do you remember the night you bid me goodbye

We were soul mates, we knew that from the start
But more is needed to live, than feelings of one's heart
When you walked away, I thought I would die
Do you remember the night you bid me good bye

I still go to our park, I try to be brave
And vent my grief at our love's grave
Sitting on our bench, all I can do is cry
And remember the night you bid me goodbye

Oh this is so beautiful, I love the repetition, and the rhymes, it flows so well... and so emotive. well done.
