The Night Ride
Scales of purple, black, and silver.
The moonlight dances on plated armor.
Twilight and I flew threw the dark night skies
on purple leather wings.
We fly as long as the night will allow.
I'm finding I can fly so high above
the chaos and normality of life.
Swooping down on a dark abyss
of an ocean that sparkles in the moonlight.
The horizon turns vermilion,
our ride is done until the night comes again.
