The Night of Your Promotion
On this the night of your promotion
I look back and see the little boy I once knew
So tiny and tender,
needing those around him
Playing and sharing as young ones do
Now I look and see the young adult you’ve come to be
So tall and sleek,
so confident and strong
So look back and smile
Look ahead with confidence knowing you can do anything, anything
as long as you believe
