The Night Of Pain

the moon bounced off the skyline
into my lonely bedroom
one or two steps backward

the dark walls of my agony
remained silent as ever
like the mute spectators

the moon was spreading
the wings of her dreams
into and beyond my eyelids

between the dreams
a slender man lifted
the lovely shadows of his hopes
not for me although

but how he walked into the
moon’s prelude-
only I could foresee……

and then he stepped into the thin air,
before disappearing completely,
into the night out of sight

i felt alone into the depth of night
i did not dare to breathe
or move…

only listening to those songs
of the melancholy dreams of the moon

the night leaned back
toward its own darkness,
and i leaned toward mine…….
