The Night Is Cold

We were all born so innocent and pure
We were all crying but make them lure
We seemed tamed but our soul wants to venture
In a world so new, we smile but unsure

As we grow up, we now can really see
That this world is more than just a beauty
And then our perspectives changed so quickly
We were overwhelmed, this world's unruly

And today we are now young adults
Still ready to venture opening vaults
We are reckless people who do assault
But we all know that this is not our fault

We are abused by this horrific world
Trying to cope every night when it's cold
We miss our childhood but that time is old
We're still who we were trying to be bold

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
