He, the lighthouse beacon keeping harm at bay I, the wind tossed ship in a violent storm near the quay Lightning flashed, his strobe dimmed On jagged rocks I ran aground Flotsam floating from the wreckage the tragic night I drowned

Tragic indeed:( usually lighthouses are associated with hope, but this is well written:) I love the personification used:)

This was sadly beautiful Lin. I love the analogy of the lighthouse and the ship. Such a sad ending though incredibly moving and heartfelt.
