The Newness of a Lying Love
By my side is where you stay
Each and every single day
Even when I have to be at a distance
But you know if I could I would be with you in an instance.
You hold me tight and tell me you never want to let go
Your actions completely let that show
When I have to wear my uniform and leave
I know it hurts, but the courage you do achieve
You stay there and understand my job
That pride I have in it you don’t try and rob
So every moment we have together
We will cherish even forever
You have become a huge part of my life
Even if at times we get into strife
You support me and I support you too
Because I know it’s hard to be an army girlfriend I know this is true
So I want to take this chance to tell you thank you
Thank you for staying here and loving me all the way through.
