The New Year Life Race

THE NEW YEAR – LIFE RACE

A NEW RACE BEGAN

AT THE STROKE OF TWELEVE

ALL HEARTS WERE AT HOPE

THINKING THE FORTUNES AND WOES

THREE SIXTY FIVE METER CONTEST

PARTICIPANTS UNFATHOMABLE

SOME ARE SWIFT SOME ARE SOFT

SOME ARE PRUDENT SOME ARE WOOLY

SOME ARE EASE SOME ARE RUFFLED

THE FIRST EVENT OF THE YEAR

FEW STARTED GRADUALLY

OTHERS ENTHUSED RAPIDLY

EVERYONE WAS EXPLORING

THE KNOWN AND UNKNOWN WORLD

IT’S A LONG GROUNDING

FOR A SHORT EXPEDITION.

Excellent poem about life and its fortunes. Well done! Didn't understand the reason for all caps though. Allan
