The New World
Hearts dripping deadly little lies
Even the heroes did not survive
The sins that trickled from the web
The dust of our worth now all that’s left
A reference to the shallow depths
Sneaking through as the cities slept
Riddles and chaos flirt unseen
Our earth now sinking into this dream
Despair for all that now remains
A glowing abyss we cannot name
The darkness closer every day
The heroes that rise are lead astray
Newborn rejoice for all they’ve known
Going so far as to call it home
They dance upon the graves of truth
As coldness lays claws upon our youth
The spirit brazen to have survived
The nightmare now shaking some to life
These twice-born children wake alone
This world of monsters is not their home
