The New Me
its time for me
to to find myself
i used to be an old, dusty gem
but now im polished and back on the shelf
i want to be new
fresh, shiny as can be
but i cant get that now
i need a new me!
emerging form the shadows
like a snake sheds its skin,
i come into new daylight
i've come to fight and win.
knowing my capabilities
my strengths and limits
i rise to the top
for im in it to win it.
but first i gotta grow out
and break out the old shell
i want my voice to be herd
my voice as loud as a bell
i wanna be new.
now dont you see?
i cant do much with my old self...
i need the new me!
