The New Eden
The span of life decreases is the wage of sin suffocates.
The bite of the apple's flesh rots within my soul
with the seeds of death sprouting within my being
Eternity mocks my meager bodies woes
My labor rejected
My toil futile
My sweat hot is spurting blood
The earth unforgiven, dry rocky chock with weeds
Generations have cried for atonement
the sins of the living bring fulfillment in wickedness
curse all in birth to death hollow existence
Mercy forgotten
patterns of nature destructive
might of storms, weak is shelter
scorch of Sun, floods of rain
the bitter frost that burns the naked skin
Beseech all with questions
answers of dead prophets blow in the wind
Does eternity last forever
the taste of water upon my lips
drips into the pool of salvation
time fades day by day
shorter is the span of our existences
Dare to look upon the heavens
hear angels giggle
never bow to a monkey
Judgement nears as mercy wanes
as sin devours all flesh
The scars of a spike through his hands
removes the seeds of death embedded in my heart
the cross he bared cleanse my soul
and leads me to everlasting paradise
The world repents through the flame
and in the ashes burst forth the new Eden
Angels wash the feet of men.
