It sounds like this torture was inflicted by your own father, Joseph. I'm so sorry you and your siblings had to endure this. I was blessed with a loving father, but there are others out there who don't know what it means to show children love and set good examples. Very moving poem! Love, Carolyn

wow...I can relate to this in some ways I think...so many kids go through a horrific childhood...then years down the road, when they start to actually deal with, it's a whole other horrific ordeal, trying to overcome. I've experienced this in many ways. This poem is so descriptive, so sad and yet so well written...
