The Neon Gods We Made

The PC’s a must, don’t you know? A laptop, a few iPads or iPhones. How else can we get on with lifes’s show? Calls are fewer, texts, you betcha. Emojis now equal to beautiful words? Those obnoxious, electronic dog catchas! Stop the 1950’s jabber and insulting the TV. To all the electronics, we are down on our knees. People no longer count, about worthless as fleas? Don’t you know that people are sad and lonely? But we treat them like pieces of rotting Baloney. We may as well feed our precious iPad…Spumoni? Stay plugged in, so unreal and not very sweet. As your friends suddenly die, their God to meet. And you~forgot we are not sheep, who just bleat. You, and Miss Alexa are newlyweds, I guess. At least, she does not have to wear a dress! No more human world, I sadly confess! We snicker over mindless junk at You Tube? But hey, what goes on in our electrified noodles? No brains, just romping pink poodles? No need to be insulted by this sardonic poem. I am just like you~ the iPad is now my home. So shiny, voiceless, humanless, end of this tome. There should be an Electronics Anonymous. for us! Their control exerted over us is totally boundless. Being now, minus humanity is bonkers and groundless. 12/31/20222

Elena, I try to wake the sleeping world up. Not an easy task. Most of the world intoxicated by fear and poisoned by the media. People on line are not real until we talk to them on the PHONE, or meet with them. Quite honestly, people are afraid of the human interaction. Sending a one sentence email, we think is communication, eXaMPLE~ “have a nice day.”. Or hide behind our poetry. You won’t know us, really. Even in some comments…..poets hide. Sunshine…indeed lonely, so lonely their only comfort is alcohol, pot, or painkillers. Many drank themselves to death during lockdowns, nations want to be free….natural immunity works. One poet here thinks you should be put to death if you refuse the vaccine. Lol…must be related to Hitler. I about fainted when I saw that. I get Sick when I see this picture. People I know who had the vaccine, got COVID. And worse, disfigured and killed my cousin, She has a few poems here. Like you~ a delightful human being…hugs, Panagiota

First, the title again is perfect! Who knew when Simon and Garfunkel sang that song that the "gods" would MULTIPLY and become more powerful! Your closing verses are so endearing, like a hug from a fellow pilgrim. Wishing you 2023 blessings!

Simon and Garfunkel…indeed, the words to that song are so powerful. We are overcome! When will people be poeople! I am tired of being Karen Keystroke. Emojis are fum, but destroy our vocabulary. I wish them out of existence…such geeks we have become. Yes, fellow pilgrim. Where has all of humanity of gone. Like those lyrics,,where have all the flowers gone?. My poetry is not the whole of me. Hey Prince, I see you got the point clearly. No more idiotic mandates, and all of us, regardless of party, cannot allow censorship by the government. We are Americans, not members of the CCP. Because IF THEY CONTROL INFORMATION, THEY CONTROL EVERYTHING. THIS MUST END. ALSO THEIR CONTROL OF GOOGLE, FACEBOOK AND META. STALIN, HILTER, THE CCP, RUSSIA. WE MUST NOT FORGET. Paula. Many thanks. This issue really is irksome to me. People cannot shop, visit the doctor without an iPad or iPhone. Nobody talks to one another or is friendly. Just pasty white, silent faces, all in a room in silence, for me, so sad! Internet addiction. Yikes..Panagiota

HNY, Jo. People do not even know they are puppets! Sad state of affairs, and dangerous. When people believe all the lies we are fed? We are more doomed than I expected! Arg, Everyone should own an iPad.tonsof info online, GoofProof, especially for a knucklehead like me.can take it anywhere, cameras, all the goodies. Use in any room in the house.
