The Nectar of God

Mayhem rules centuries with endless wars and suffering.
Snakes eating their own tails.
Buzzards hovering over bloated babies.
Endless cycles of conquest and oppression.
A few behemoths always stomping a million minions.

God, please strip them of their glass-boot arrogance.
Let them plod barefoot into their own sharpened rhetoric.
Please unite the sheep; allow them to inherit a bit of peace.
