The Name of Jesus
The shadow of the cross
fell upon Roman soldiers
grasping rocks, spears and anger.
Yet they could not take one thing
the Son of God possessed,
his glorious name.
Jesus wept and Jesus bleed
while the guard did their job
before one that would be praised1
Now he walks with each and every one of us
Jesus, the savior King, Jesus.
