The Mystical Poet

 He was the mystical poet,
breaking through to the other side.
A young man with pure raw talent,
upon a river deep and wide.


"The Crystal Ship," and "Soul Kitchen,"
"Light My Fire," and Waiting for the Sun."
Songs to name a generation,
a martyr not to be out done.


A poet is known by his words,
some are found in dusty old books.
He was found on the western coast,
full of charisma and good looks.


They say only the good die young,
and why that is I do not know.
But the one known as Morrison,
put on quite a hell of a show!
