The Mysteries of Life

What knowest thou of mysteries yet untold
of wonderings beyond our grasp
knowest thou the secrets of the ancients
lying hidden from the eyes of men
what knowest thou of simple things
the pain of heartache
the rapture of joy
knowest thou of these which are round about us
like unto stars in the night sky
knowest thou the tears of those who weep silently
hidden away from the world
seeking only to love
and to be loved
